Eid al-Fitr is a holiday that is highly anticipated by all Muslims who have fasted for approximately 30 days. For a whole week, the Hari Raya holiday atmosphere brings with it a variety of traditions, customs, and beautiful moments that become an unforgettable part of family and community life.
Starting from the first
day : The first day, starting from sahur because it was still the nuances of
the month of Ramadan. after sahur I then performed the morning prayer and then
continued to sleep. then in the morning I started working on the internship
report, because it was a little less and before breaking the fast I was looking
for takjil for breaking the fast, then I broke the fast after breaking the fast
I continued with maghrib prayers. then performed isya' and tarawih prayers.
then I continued working on the internship report which had been delayed again.
Continued on the second
day : continued on the second day, I started cleaning the house in the morning,
cleaning the house to make it clean and tidy for tomorrow's Eid. because
tonight is takbiran night which indicates that tomorrow is Eid al-Fitr, but on
this second day it is the last day of Ramadan fasting. from the morning
cleaning the house and in the afternoon my family and I started to prepare
snacks for the feast day starting from pastries such as nastar, pastel,
melinjo, dates, crackers, kastengel and many more cakes that will be prepared
for tomorrow's feast day. Towards the afternoon I was as usual looking for
takjil for iftar dishes, then I broke my fast first then continued with maghrib
prayers and continued with isha prayers, because today is the last fasting or
takbiran night so there is no tarawih prayer. after praying isha I didn't go
straight to bed because I was still helping my parents to prepare equipment for
tomorrow and organize the cookies that had been prepared earlier and then
continued to sleep so as not to oversleep for tomorrow's Eid prayer in the
morning.
Continued on the third
day : the day that all Muslims have been waiting for is the eid al fitri
holiday, which coincides on April 10, 2024, a day full of holiness and
blessings. starting in the morning, the eid al fitri prayer at 6 am at the
mosque near the house. after the eid al fitri prayer, my family and I continued
to prepare the house, starting from arranging the carpet and arranging snacks
for the guests who would come. From early morning, houses prepare to welcome
guests and families who will come to visit. The morning atmosphere is filled
with the sounds of dhikr, takbir, and the aroma of delicious food. After having
breakfast together, many families start cleaning their homes, making sure
everything is clean and tidy to welcome guests. Traditional decorations such as
decorative lights, new carpets, and beautiful curtains add to the excitement in
the cool atmosphere. Before welcoming the guests, it is a tradition to say
sorry with both parents and extended family starting with sungkem and
salam-salaman and then sharing thr. Continued after forgiving and then
continued to go to visit the nearest neighbor's house and then returned home to
welcome the guests who came. And in the afternoon when we are all tired, we
finally all go to bed and wake up in the afternoon to continue to prepare the
food of the guests who will come later in the evening. After a day of welcoming
guests, we finally slept to continue our activities to welcome guests on the
next day.
Continued on the fourth day, the second day of Eid :Continued on the second day of Eid, starting from waking up in the morning and then like yesterday, my family and I prepared a meal for the upcoming guests, coincidentally the ones who would come were the parents of the grandmothers' daughters-in-law here all. Starting from 12 noon, one by one the parents of Grandma's daughter-in-law arrived, followed by 6 o'clock in the afternoon came again the parents of Grandma's daughter-in-law until 8 o'clock in the evening. Then we continue to clean up the house to keep it neat and pleasing to the eye, because there will be more guests who will arrive.
Followed by the fifth day, the third day of Eid al-Fitr : Starting
in the morning as usual during Eid Day, the morning habit is to prepare snacks
and food for future guests, and this time the one who will come is his sister
Grandma who is from Porong Sidoarjo. They came to my house from 9 a.m. to 12
p.m., we joked together telling me funny incidents. Because my grandmother's
sister will continue to go to the next destination, Surabaya Zoo, they finally
couldn't stay at my house for long. And after cleaning up the former guests, we
finally rested because later tonight we and our family will visit the house of
the parents-in-law of grandma in Genteng Kali Surabaya. And at night, we and
our family visited the house of the parents of the grandmother's daughter-in-law
who was in the roof tile, we were there having fun while having fun together. Then
because my cousin was bored and wanted to invite me out, finally we young
people went to one of the shops not far from the house of the parents of my
grandmother's daughter-in-law, namely to Mumuso on Jalan Tunjungan Surabaya. We
bought a lot of pioneering accessories that were cute and actually not very
important to us, but we thought they were cute such as dolls, hair rubber, lip
balm, body care and many more. Then we went back to the parents' house of the
grandmother's daughter-in-law because we were waiting to be invited home.
Because it was already night, we finally went home and rested because tomorrow
there was still an agenda to visit your house again.
Continue the sixth day,
still the Eid edition : Starting from getting up early, but this time not
preparing food for guests, but preparing to go to visit the house of his sister
grandma who is from Porong, who visited home yesterday. Starting to leave at 9
am and getting there at half past 11 pm there we were warmly welcomed by the
family of grandma, then there we were given a typical Porong food dish that
every Eid is always in anticipation, namely the typical rojak of Porong, then
we there joked together and spent my time having fun, then we went home at half
past 3 pm and we didn't go home immediately because my family still wanted to
take a walk in Daereh Trawas, namely Klurak tourism, Taking a journey full of ups and downs of the
road we finally arrived too. There Klurak Tourism also provides for those of us
who want to camp while enjoying the surrounding natural scenery. Then we walked
a little bit deep That is a river tour, but there time it was clean water that
flowed from a source not from fecal water, we were there playing water for
quite a long time and access to get to it at that time took the road down the
stairs which was quite slippery, but fortunately grandma did not participate
because it could be dangerous too if you participated. Finally, we returned from
the Klurak tour at 5 pm, and continued the journey to find food in the Krembung
area, namely Mbah Jebres Resto. Approximately 1 hour we arrived at the
restaurant, but at the time at the restaurant my family and I experienced
disappointing things at the restaurant because the service was very long,
almost two and a half hours the food had not come out and there were also many
food menus that ran out. And yes, we just learned a lesson, because we all know
the restaurant from social media, so yes, there is just an experience.
Followed by the seventh day and also the last day of the holiday :On this sunny Sunday, my family and I didn't want to go anywhere because we were tired. And during that day I just slept, bathed and ate that was all because we felt very collapsed that day.
feast holiday for a whole week brings a variety of
beautiful moments that enrich the lives of families and communities. From
vigorous preparations to festive celebrations, these traditions strengthen
family ties, increase social solidarity, and reinforce religious values. Behind
all the busyness and joy, the Hari Raya holiday also teaches us the importance
of being grateful, sharing, and celebrating togetherness with loved ones. May
the spirit and meaning of the Hari Raya holiday always burn in our hearts, not
only for a whole week, but throughout the year. Happy Feast. Happy Eid Mubarak
everyone.
